Campos do Jordao for Fred's Dad's Birthday

The whole family, including Baby Joaquim (Fred's sister's son) left Sao Paulo for the weekend to enjoy a relaxing few days of fresh air to celebrate Zota's (Fred's dad's nickname) birthday.  The town, Campos do Jordao, is about an hour and 45 minutes from the city.  It's a quaint remote getaway known for it's resemblance of an old German/Swiss town and it's delicious fondue.  We stayed at the most amazing hotel overlooking the mountains where we ate endless good food.  I tried to capture the experience on camera, but of course the pictures don't do the weekend justice.  I'm back in Sao Paulo, ready to get back to finding a job:)) with a work visa....

  1. Lots of Germans (quiet a few Nazi's actually) fled to Brazil and Argentina after the war, so I'm not too surprised that they had an influence on the culture - although I would have hoped the arrogant bastards would have gone underground. Hopefully today the likes of such would have to cuz of all the communications advances.
Looks like u all stayed in a great place, and enjoyed wonderful family time too.
