My First Brazilian Wedding...and it set the tone

Can you imagine inviting 700 people to your wedding and 600 people showing up.  Veuve Clicquot and Jack Daniels Gold Label flowing from 10pm to 6am, not to mention a delicious dinner, sliders at 3am, and a dessert table that could kill you.  Oh and I forgot, the Brazilian tradition of a separate table just for bite size treats.  One of the most spectacular events from start to finish from the event space to the entertainment to the food to the great friends, all together for Pedi and Samantha's big day!!

Of course I had to get my nails and hair done for the occasion...and the blowout was done outside in a relaxing outdoor sanctuary-

Next Fred and I were off to the reception at Casa Fasano, the event space connected with the Fasano Hotel (we didn't go to the church, usually only the closest friends and family go).  Greenery and chandeliers hung from the ceiling creating a whimsical environment... (the pictures are sort of blurry)

And now for the sweets...I was mesmerized by the presentation, an overwhelming number of different kind of bite-size candies, from chocolate brigadeiros to nutella filled cakes to hazlenut creams.  The idea is that every hour or so you walk over to the table to try a few.  In my case, Julisa and I tried every single one but to avoid the excessive calories we each ate half.

The pictures do not do this table justice.  I was in shock when I first saw it.

 Yes I tasted every one

The entertainment.....well the night started with a dj, followed by a concert by the W Band (from the 90's in London), followed by a train of 20 drummers playing along to all the amazing current tunes from the Black Eyed Peas to David Guetta-- truly impressive.   Just awesome-- we danced all night.  And the best part was the cheeseburger sliders and fries that came out at 3am.

One of the most well known traditions at weddings are the "Bem-Casados" which means "Well Married."
The little treats are there for you to take when you leave-- small melt-in-your mouth mini cakes with Dulce de Leche in the middle......mmmmmmm.  I probably ate 3 or 4 when I woke up the next afternoon...lol

Just a fantastic first Brazilian wedding experience.  Brazilians definitely know how to party.
